E-mail message this week ..  Are You Having Fun in Practice

Let’s be serious, if you ain’t having fun in practice, it’ll eventually wear you down. A doctor confident with their skills will adapt to the day making any lemons into lemonade but with all the hassles of insurance, patient and staff management as well as personal issues it can be overwhelming. Furthermore, having to lift hurting and concerned patients with your confidence and place them at ease and follow your recommendations, it behooves you to find how to relax, enjoy the moment and pass it along.

Doctors are teachers and your community looks towards us for guidance. Fun is allowed when all systems are a go and practice management is routine with tweaking along the way. Fun is followed when staff is on board to spread the message about chiropractic. Fun naturally follows when patients are educated and your practice runs on auto-pilot with referrals and compliant patients. Fun is the result when a confident doctor meets an anxious patient and turns them around watching transformation from sickness and disease to health and wellness. Fun is acceptable and anticipated when everyone is on board, with timely patient classes, positive patient interactions that reduce missed appointments and brings back former patients for supportive care. Fun follows when you go with the flow and weather any economic storm with extended financial plans without losing income. Fun follows when you adjust your budget so the noose of debt is contained. Fun is when you make it so.


How is your office, does it run on fear and anxiety or do you have plenty of time with confident fun? It’s easy to fall prey to worry and look for the dark rather than the light but doctor, I can write assuredly that time spent providing quality care will transform your office. With baby steps, review patient and practice management so you can relax more without piles of paperwork and redundant work. When the covid lock and slowdowns ended, we were anxious to ramp up patient flow with public relations and marketing programs and reach out to our communities with the good news of Chiropractic, Health and Wellness. 

Some doctors felt they wanted more and went out to get it. They promoted their practice by actively meeting and greeting while others join forces with groups that provided leads whether PI patients or referrals from their marketing. Nonetheless, those that entered your office benefitted and that is the ultimate goal.

If you have concerns and find it difficult to manage your practice, it's time to get your act together. If you have two hands, knowledge gathered in school and in practice and a will to help people, provide a decent income and lifestyle for yourself and family and continue with a heartbeat, you can change things as you will.

Never too late to change and move things around. Take advantage of weekend seminars, listen and watch seminars on-line and gather a storm of positive ideas so you can relax and enjoy your workday.
